Pamela Moraga holds a BA in Choreography and Dance from U. Humanismo Cristiano in Santiago de Chile (2015). Born and raised in Chile, she has been an active participant in Berlin’s independent art scene since 2018. Her works focus on contemporary social and political themes, which she translates into the physical medium of dance through her unique interpretative lens. Pamela collaborates with independent artists across disciplines to present her projects on Berlin’s stages.
Since 2017, she has produced her own dance works, beginning with Un salto de fe and No es Necesario in Santiago de Chile. Later pieces include Blue (2018–2019) and Manual de Humanidad. Volumen piel (2018). In 2019, Pamela brought a revised version of To take the leap to Berlin, forming the creative collective Tanz den Widerstand alongside other Latin American artists. She has since continued to create and present self-produced dance works.
Pamela’s artistry has received support from Dachverband Tanz Deutschland, through which she created the solo piece Suspended Earth for the Berlin Performing Arts Festival in 2023. Her latest projects include LATINX and LATINX solo, performed at the CDC Festival Berlin, Katapult Kabaret, and as part of the Multilingual Program within the TOUR 2024 Project.
As of November 2024, Pamela is a board member of LAFT Berlin. She is currently developing her own physical practice, deeply rooted in her South American cultural heritage, combining reggaeton dance classes with a choreographic methodology that engages both amateur and professional participants.
